My Story
I grew up in Winnipeg, Manitoba on an urban farm. My grandparents started a hobby farm in the 1940's, and as residential housing was slowly built up around them they managed to keep a small piece that grew into a plentiful garden surrounded by oak trees, where I was fortunate enough to learn to appreciate life, and nature.

It was there that I developed a strong sense of family, and a keen understanding of the importance of our relationship with the natural world.

Our summers were spent eating food from the garden, and preserving it for the winter months. Weekends were spent outside at national parks, and cottages as much as possible.

I've personally experienced how nature can positively impact your life, and it is my mission as a naturopathic physician to share my knowledge with you though high quality integrative care. I work alongside other health care professionals and advocate for my patients so they receive the best care possible.

What I do for fun
Education
I love being outside, whether it's hiking, swimming, sailing, fishing, or traveling. I believe spending time outside is one of the best things you can do for your mood and for stress management, so finding something you enjoy is well worth it.

When I'm inside, I love to be creative in order to keep my brain sharp, because yet again, it is one of the best stress management techniques if you enjoy it. I also spend a lot of time in the weight room at the gym, always setting new fitness goals. And of course, I love to spend time with my friends and family.

I received a bachelors degree in microbiology from the University of Manitoba. I then studied for four years at the Boucher Institute of Naturopathic Medicine, and obtained my naturopathic medical licence from the College of Naturopathic Physicians of British Columbia.

I have completed additional certifications through Therapeutics Education, Ohm Medical, EcoMed Naturopathic, Cogence Immunology, and International IV Nutritional Therapy.
